My first time going 9's

Well this was my first time out driving my car with the 6262 setup at the Buschur IDRC. My previous best in my car was a 10.0 so i was hoping for 9's. This car has done a 9.76 with Emery from STM driving it on the 6262 and a Stock Block. Well I returned home from deployment in Feb and i bought a new Buschur 2.0LR motor and a STM ported head. I am still on a stock tranny and only a stock ported Intake Mani. I was having problems getting into 2nd all day but managed to trap 150+MPH while running a couple 11's-12's. lol. But i did get my first ever 9 sec pass. I know i have a lot of practice and everything i need to do but it was fun just getting out there.

These passes almost didnt happen though. On the Saturday before the event i was just out driving the car down the road getting used to driving it again and all that since its been almost a year since i drove it. Well when i returned to the track one of the guys from STM asked me what happened to the turbo, i must have caught a nice kicked up rock from another car at some point. The struggle to find a 6262 came then, Buschur had one at the shop but it was already puchased by another Evo owner. They were waiting for the rest of his parts so they called him and asked if I could have it and order him a new one and he said i could which i am very greatful for.

I would like to thank:
All of STM, Emery, Cory, Brain, Austin, Shawna and everyone else who was there.
David Buschur and all of Buschur Racing
Quinn Whipple for letting me have the turbo. (if you see this i didnt forget about the shirts and stuff).

STM Ported Head
Precision 6262
Buschur Double Pumper

With a little seat time and a trans that will shift you def have a chance at 8's. I think Im going to send out your trans soon.

It was a conquest, he was running 9.9s all day but the last pass he said his car just shut off, he was pushed to the line right before the last pass. bad luck for him i guess. I was going to give up on it but was like i only get to race 1-2 times a year so i might as well just punch it and see what MPH i could trap.

Yea i figure thats something i need to get done soon EM. lol. Im surprised the stock tranny has taken the beating it has so far.

Yea i was in shock that he did. I ended up calling Quinn and we talked for a bit. Its the only event i will be at this year. Once again i will be missing the shootout. This time because i was given the choice to get lasik or not. And sorry but lasik is something i have wanted since it came out, i hate glasses and contacts. But i will be around all year so i might make some trips to Dragway 42 with STM if they go.
