7 second Evos?

Are there any out there? I know there's plenty of 10/9/8 second evose but I've never seen or heard of a 7 second evo.

As in gutting/etc. is it aero that hold the evo back? I believe I've seen an eclipse run 6.97

That would be Brent Rau's eclipse from Magnus Motorsports. That car so gutted up it's ridiculous.

It's the oem style AWD set-up that hinders the performance needed to run the ET.

I think Jeff B and Devin's DSM's are the closest to a 7 sec pass but there may be more out there that i'm not familiar with.

Evo wise i think the closest was the STM NZ Evo 9 of David Stock

You need power + light weight + traction and it's hard to get all 3

The 7 sec APC evo in australia has a solid rear axle(like sheps talon) but still retains all steel doors and the factory floor and firewall. It weight 2500lbs with driver and has a PPG gearbox etc.Its a genuine ce9a evo 2(whats left of it)The front is a removable fibreglass front clip and makes 1100whp on a dyno dynamics dyno. It ran 5 7sec passes all 7.97-7.99.It hasnt run for over 3 years and is currently gathering dust.

the manual trans is the biggest factor keeping Evos out of those super low ET's . Thats why if Buscher ever gets his to work it will be a game changer.

By the time he does the cost will be about the same as purchasing another evo.
