I've seen a lot of intake mani threads but I'm dying to see a comparison of a ported skunk2 and ported 70mm CBRE on a 2.0

i know Curt's site tells his results but you always want to see a second opinion

BP couldn't do all the testing since they were busy.

So as of right now there isn't any true back to backs with the big and small intake manifolds.

What are the limitations and advantages of using a stock ported intake with a stock ported or 75mm throttle body in comparison to aftermarket intakes such as ams and magnus cast aluminum with 75mm TB in application in access of 50 to 55psi in the 950+ to 1000 Whp range?

You got the wrong one.......9.04 at 159.64 in my EVO, full interior, 3" full exhaust, two mufflers, BR ported intake and BR 65 mm throttle body.

First you can use a 75mm throttle body on the stock ported intake, it would need the factory TB flange cut off and something else put on it. I've got cars making 900+ whp on a Dynojet on our ported intake and 65 mm throttle body. Everyone wants to overkill a combination and lose the low/mid range.

So are you. Didn't STM go 8.0 @ 182MPH on a skunk2/70mm setup?

so basically you are saying for a 1000 hp evo an aftermarket manifold is not really required just porting of the stock. Am I correct?

if this same car had on a ported stock intake/TB do you think it would have ran 8.0 ? My research so far showed a car doing 8.9 on stock ported but I have not seen any in mid to low 8s . I'm wondering if it would not be adequate at that level due to possibly restriction

No, I'm good actually. Thanks for the correction that has nothing to do with my statement.

Yes, Emery went 8.0 at 182, I'm familiar with the car since it has an engine we built, head we ported and built, our ignition and cams in it.
