So in a final to be remembered we got the heap to move a little faster than it has been. Intially we were able to run an 8.55@164 on 37psi in qualifying and then had some issues with the ignition retard on the 3 step vs Nitrous. Got that sorted out, reclamped a coupler that ejected with the backfire, and found out the entire FIP field had broke other than us and SpeedFactory's Competition Clutch Drag Hatch. It had qualified at 8.07@186 but had issues with randomly turning into a 3 cylinder.
For whatever reason the MOTEC would be fine as long as the car stayed running, turn it off and restart it would drop cylinders. They redid the map (not that it can get corrupted) reloaded it and we faced off. At the line you couldnt really tell who was ahead at the 1000 though Jeff jumped a fair amount down low thanks to added traction. The MOTEC traction control is dialed in the SF car but it obviously doesnt quite have the jump we can get.

Our Supra ran a 7.81@175 at 50psi but was running out of traction at higher boost. John Wood took the FIS win with a 9.77@141 with his newly MIVEC'd 2.3 against one of our Hondas that ran a 9.9@141. The Street GTR was both cool and kind of a letdown as it ran a 9.16@163 at around 1100whp. Need AWESOME launch control and then 60' will come around and get it into the 8s in full street trim.
All in all it was a good weekend.
Need to thank Marco at Magnus Motorsport for a BA dry sump, Robert and Scott @ Forced Performance for an awesome turbo, Kiggly for the Auto help and parts over the last few seasons, Jens at Fuel Injector Clinic for the fuel system parts, and everyone else that has pitched in to make this thing move. Now it needs more tire it seems

Thanks everyone, The car is seemingly having a pretty good season to start, I'm hoping to stay on the roll and see some better time slips. It's not a goal right now but if I see the opportunity to go after a 7 sec pass I'm believing it can do it. I never thought it would be going this fast at all 3 years ago. With the new dry sump and alt delete the car has seemingly gotten a bit more easy to deal with also. 2 very cool mods for sure.
