Running 14s on 2014 evo x?!?!?
Hello guys I just recently purchased a Evo X MR and I've seen reviews of it running 13.6 stock on the quarter mile. I went to the drag strip last night and raced a 2012 camaro ss. He beat me of course but it was my first time running and I was expecting low 13s/ mid 13s. Here are my numbers for first and second run.
Note: weather was around 80 degrees and winds were at 10-15mph. So im guessing it was good weather. I live in central Texas.
1ST RUN:
Reaction: .5309
60 ft: 2.1026
330 ft: 5.9395
1/8th: 9.1787
1/4: 14.3995
1/4 MPH: 94.28
2ND RUN:
Reaction: 7372
60 ft: 2.1523
330 ft: 6.0528
1/8th: 9.3387
1/4: 14.5901
1/4 MPH: 93.38
I was running the car on S-Sport Mod/ tracation control OFF/ Tarmac/ and launched at around 5k rpm.

Well your 60 ft wasn't too good. Every .1 there is .2 on the back end time. Try launching in snow mode next time if the steering wheel angle changes when you launch. If it was your first time ever drag racing, just keep going and practice. That's all you can do

My 2013 MR did 13.248@102.22 stock on a 69 degree day here in Florida a few months back.
The 60 ft. was 1.894 and my 1/8 mile was 8.469@82.46.
I also launched the car at 5K with Yaw Control off and Tarmac Mode.
I let the car do the shifting in S-Sport Mode Full Auto.
Your MPH is way off. Check your lines and also your piping clamps. Tighten all of them good.
At a minimum your MR should be traping 100 mph and your ET should be at worst 13.5 to 13.8's.
Unless the dealer flashed that new update and that who knows if it slows our cars down.
Hope you find the issue and run good next time.

It was windy so humidity was low. Plus the track looked fine from my prospective and boost leak not quite sure since the car is brand new (1 month old)

I did a 13.77. Completely stock 2013 MR and I weigh 190lbs. No disrespect, but could you have had extra weight in the car? You, bags, trunk equipment, etc.?

OPs 60ft isn't very good but for his first time at the track isn't uncommon. Now trapping 93mph is a red flag. Even if he had full interior and a couple things in his trunk with (let's assume) a 10-15 mph head wind I would still think he would at least trap 97-98mph.

I actually had my 200 pound friend with me and a small 20 pound tool box but didn't think it would make that much of a difference. Plus if the car is new what type of problems would it have??

I think people are over looking the 60ft that seems to be the biggest problem! yes it could be something a little off power wise but if you don't get out the whole aka 60ft with a heavy evo x your ET will be low as ever. All the people who went 13.7 and faster check their 60fts
