looking for a good street/ strip tire!

I am in the process of looking for tires. I would like your guys opinion on the matter. what size do you normally run? How soft of a compound do you use. My car makes good power and I have a built t-case. I dont want to run something with to much bite that I start breaking axles or tearing up the tranny etc. Any input would be great.

cheers!

Check these out. Perfect for the track and street. Practically new. I want only track tires.

I'm running these same tires. Very happy so far!

Is there any spin on launching at the track? How quickly do they wear down from street use?

There will always be spin depending on what you have your 2step set to and your power levels. That goes for any tire.

I understand that, Do you run slicks or radials? I'm just trying to find a tire that wont break my driveline parts the first time I take my car to the track.

Then get the M&H DOTs. Dude...you can't have it both ways. If you want a tire soft enough to launch decently without wheel hopping and breaking driveline parts, it's not going to have long "street" life....and vice versa. If you're making any kind of decent power you have to accept the fact that you WILL break parts constantly....LOL.
