Read the tea leaves on my time slip

Today was my first time running the quarter mile. Only had time for two runs and went kind of easy on the clutch. I know some of you can tell a lot from 60’ and the 1:8 mile numbers so wondering if anyone can give some insight on how I did. Driving a IX MR with 400hp to the wheels.

This was the second one

It's only got 2 wheels?

What happened to the other 2?

Yea I don’t know why they put bike.

Anyway, from looking at other threads on the 60’ times, looks like mine isn’t very good. Is there some sort of rule of thumb like lose .1 sec off the 60 and it translates to X amount of total time on the quarter mile? Really I want to see if 11s are at all possible for my car. Yes I know how much hp it has but it’s been a while since I dynoed it.

Im not a drag racer but I believe "they say" every 10th in the 60' equates to 2/10ths in the quarter.

A good launch is maybe 1.7 possibly 1.6 on street tires so I think you could technically be close to 11's. Your trap speed of 110 however seems a lil low for 400whp from what Ive seen.

Thanks for the input. Unfortunately as far as the trap speed goes, I tried to stay in fourth at the end but bounced off the limiter instead. That probably hurt my trap speed, not sure how much though.

Not bad for your first time out. You need to bring your 60' number down for a better ET. The car should be a 12.5ish time slip. The 6 speed is what's hurting you. Swap in a 5 speed with evo 8 3-4 gears. That's if you plan on hitting up the drag strip more.

With a fully prepped car making 350ish and 3000ish lbs you can get down to 11.9s but that's on sticky tires, a good *** driver, proper suspension, launch control, flat foot shifting, etc. You'll need at least a 1.6 60' to get there.

Dang, here I thought 400whp would make it a piece of cake lol

Mid 11' is definitely possible. I've ran 11.7 same power level with fbo and stock turbo. I'm not the best driver ever either so with a driver mod, an 11.5 is definitely possible. Street tires at 3200 lbs.

I am guessing you two step is set too low. What is it currently?
