slicks choice
stock between using 16qtp on rx7 wheels or original 17"rims with m&h drag slicks
any one is better than the other?
i know the 16" will have a bit more flex but other than that is their any major difference or any pros and cons?
really like how the m&h slicks look on oem wheels....
any advice pls...

Are you doing any events? Such as running at any IFO events or anything? If so slicks will put you in the pro class and the QTP you can run sport. Thinner sidewalls on the 17’s are also going to be less forgiving on the drivetrain than QTP in 16’s. I run the RX7 wheels and QTP and if I did it again I would probably go to 15’s and do QTP again.

Drag tires are intended for drag racing, and they are mostly bias-ply...
Tires for circuit, hillclimb or rally are different, and are also different depending on what do you need them for, circuit, hillclimb or rally... Almost all are radial tires, but some people still use cross-ply tires, I have seen them on some cars on hillclimbs...
You have a wide choice, Michelin, Pirelli, Dunlop, Bridgestone, Yokohama, Goodyear, Continental, Hankook, Kumho, Avon, etc...
See this, then decide what do you need:

I have ran the Hoosier QTP's on 16" Rota Slipstreams, MT ET Street R on 15" Kosei K1's, and 15" MT ET Drag slicks. I'm not a fan of the Hoosier QTP's, was never able to get a decent 60 foot out of them. I had better 60fts with the MT ET Street R's and best with the MT ET Drag slicks.
I would run the M&H slick over the QTP any day.

ok guys I'm wanting similar info. I am wondering if I should get another set of Hoosier 26x9.5-r16 QTP dot slicks best 60ft with only one track day was 1.65 60ft with 12psi. I didn't get to run again due to the track closing but I was gonna make a pass on 10psi. just wondering if anyone has run both the qtp's 16's and the m&h 16's? I m about to order new tires and I'm really shooting for 1.5 60ft. I'm running 16" rotas currently with arp extended studs and STM 20mm spacers. the new tires will be on FD's. just need to choose between the 2 slicks both will be 16's. Thanks! does M&H even offer a 16? if not then what 16" slick is best?
