Made it back to the track with built motor

Finally made it back to the track today after having an old RRT built 2.0 swapped into my car. As a few of you you know my car went 10.47 @ 138mph a few months ago on the stock shortblock.

Well today took it back in hopes for a 9 sec pass but the prep was pretty bad.. Best pass was 10.16 @ 149mph. Idk why my 1/8 mile is so crap compared to my back half. Really need to get better suspension and get the alignment a little more track friendly.

Here’s some basics on the car..
06 Evo 9 SSL model
RRT built 2.0 shortblock
turbo tuff rods / wiseco 1400hd pistons
kelford 272 cams, gsc valvetrain
ets forward facing kit with 6466 gen 2 turbo
tuned by Kasey Harris at dynotime in hickory NC
~38psi on e85

Heres some shots and a video

Your trap alone says your car is a 9 second, it will come.

That's hauling the mail for sure!

What are your drivetrain mods to support all that power?

Need that 60' down to 1.4-1.5 and it'll really help your 1/8. What suspension is on the car? The tires (assuming they're QTP's, they look like it) are capable of it..

MPH is good though.

Yeah. The track wasn’t prepped well at all, along with it being pretty cold.I can usually cut consistent low 1.6 60’s. Even that I know Isn’t amazing. I need to replace the suspension, raise the car a little, and really dial in the alignment. But I still feel like my 149mph trap I should be trapping like 113-115ish in the 1/8.

and to answer your questions they’re some crappy function & form type 2 coilovers and yes they are 26” qtp tires

With poor prep, it may not even be hooking second like it should.

Toss some STM spec D2's on it, they do really well.

that’s the plan! having a kid in April so some things are getting put on hold lol. But I honestly think my tuner like has my 1-3rd turned down or something. I should be trapping around 115 or more in the 1/8.

We generally turn first down some, but 2 on up is kill.

Congrats on the kid.

your 1-2 is killing you. Trap speed is good tho. Get your 60ft / 1-2 down and you will get a low to mid 9sec pass all day
