The hell if I'm gonna round UP. LOL. Does that mean I can round up my 113.67 (from a different run) to 114? . I've always been honest about my times and have posted exact numbers.

So does that mean a 11.99 is a "12.0". Come on if your gunning for 12.2 then a 12.29 is going to be what your looking for, not 12.25. When people talk about trying to hit 11's they dont mean low or mid 11's, they just mean hitting 11's period. There is no rounding up at all since every .001 counts.

well maybe that's just me.. of course u can tell urself whatever u want.

btw, i wasnt talking about hitting 11's or 12's or whatever.. that's totally different.. i know that... i was pointing to his signature which claims 12.2.. there's a pretty big difference between 12.2 and 12.29.. that's .09 seconds.. almost a 10th of a second!... just think if it were 12.08 vs 11.99... then u definitely could not round off and claim 11.9, right?...

be a man about it.. that's all i'm saying.. it's fast as hell either way IMO ...

Ok, you got me. This is actually Burt Reynolds' time slip with his Smokey and the Bandit Trans Am. I bought the slip on Ebay for $10.00.

Actually, Carlsbad just doesn't update their date. That date is on all their timeslips.

Be a man about it??? It looks like you really have me backed into a corner. Well, let me just get this off my chest: Hey everybody! I'm a liar. I claim 12.2 when I really ran a 12.29. Darn, my reputation is permanently sullied.

Btw, I posted this slip on the Vishnu and the Drag Racing forums the day I did it. I've never hidden anything. For what it is worth, I also rounded my 113.18 down to a 113.

Why would anyone running 12.08 round off to a 11.99. They would just say they ran a 12.0 which is pretty true since they did put down a 12.0, just not a 12.00. So since I ran 12.308 in smogs car does that mean I only ran a 12.4, please give me a break it is a 12.3 in any drag racers eyes.

12.308 is definitely a fair 12.3... as is anything below 12.349.. i dunno.. that's how we talk here..

but.. round it anyway u want....

afterall.. it's not that important until it's records.. and then it's down to the .001 anyway.

The problem with you thinking is simple. When somone runs an 11.999 they tell people they are running 11's. They don't wait until they run an 11.499 or better before saying they are running 11.9's in the 1/4. This is the accepted standard and it applies thoughtout the drag racing world. If someone tells me they are running 11.5's in the 1/4 that means to me they are running anywere between 11.500 and 11.599. Now MPH on the other hand goes by conventional rounding standards. If you run 113.5 mph it is fine to say you are running 114 mph traps, but if you run 113.4 mph it would be better to say 113 mph traps or be specific down to the decimal.

If this offends you in some way, then when you hit an 11.951 I will expect you to tell people you are running 12's. If your not willing to do that then drop the subject OK?

In that case, Smog, we better dump that Xede/Flash and hook up w/ Al.
We should easily be deep into 11s.

"custom tuning " naw , it was a mail in flash .
