would probably come down to the driver... both are 13 second cars stock. in most cases the evo would probably win cause it takes less skill/experience to get more out of an awd car in a drag race. that and NSXs are tricky cars to drive well, like the S2000, RX7 - high hp with spiky torque bands are tough

Well the Evo 7 is a 13 second car. The evo 5 is high 12s. The evo 5 is the fastest Evo made from what I heard. Remember that I am asking about the RS version. The racing version. No electric windows. No AC. Its alot lighter then the street version. Also, it was made in Japan for New Zealand so I don't know if they kept it at 280hp at 5000 rpm. I am asking because an 95' NSX owner said he would give me his car if I beat him. And he claims he will beat me by 3 cars at least.

hmm, i wouldn't race for pinkslips just from what we tell you here. remember, this is a biased forum, we all love evos and we all think evo's are the ****, which they are. In this case, i think it will be a very good race. he may have you just because isn't his car lighter? you should get urself a boost controller and pump it up to 1.5bar to race him. hey, what happens if you lose

I lose nothing. Its just that, being the only Evo on the street, i get alot of jealousy. The owner of the NSX stood infront of a crowd of street racers and dissed my car. He said the NSX is the pride and joy of Japan. I said yeah, in the Americas, what till they bring the Evo over. I still think I'm faster. I've asked Evo 5 owners all over the world. They all tell me the same thing. I will beat a NSX to the quater mile. But after that. NO. I have no mods whatsoever! I'm putting in my Ralliart turbo elbow with 3 inch pipes leading to a Apexi N1 exhaust. With simply the exhaust and turbo elbow, I don't think I will have a prob. The boost will come later in the form of a GEM ECU. Which will also manage my fuel, timing ect The Evo 5 boost 16 psi stock. I need some real Evo drivers to answer this question. People that own Evos or driven them

If you already own an Evo5, then you already know how fast your car is and should be able to run the 1/4 mile and get your times for it. You can then compare the timeslip to the NSX car's times.

Are you sure his car is stock? I think it's pretty safe to say he'd probably back out of giving you his car if you beat him, but it'd be nice to smoke someone who is just a trash talker. Then see what happens when he shows up around those same street racers

Of course, make sure he's not a cop who wants to bust you and your ring of civic driving truck jackers <jk>...
