I just got word that Adam (DEVOTUNING) just ran 8.77@151mph in his EVO2 here in Chicago!!!

Supposedly he then followed with a 9.10@152.. not too shabby either!!

wow impressive you got a place to verify those times??? this is the first Evo I have heard of getting into the 8's...

i just read it on a local dsm yahoo forum for chicago.. not yet 100% verified.. but the person that posted is definitely a person that can be trusted.

I've heard about this EVO and actually seen it in person, it's street legal and/or street driven isn't it?

 

Street legal and street driveable are TWO different things !!

I know what your saying, that's why I put and/or, I know of plenty of drag cars that run 9s and lower with license plates (usually muscle cars) that will never be seen driven on the street. I asked this question, because I could have sworn that I saw him at the drag strip a year ago, then saw him exit the facility to go somewhere on the streets, maybe it was my imagination.

 

Adam does most of his tuning on the street, not on a dyno.

Nonetheless, Adam knows that he has to back the 8.77 up.

That's Cosmo.. He's the current stock turbo no spray champ.. he ran 11.64 with stock turbo!

I'm not sure what he's running now... I believe he's doing a custom kit and tuning it himself with his Autronic EMS...

A lot lot quicker than 11.64 ... but Cosmo has asked to keep that on the low down, cause he street races the car.
