Can't brake 12.5!!!!!!! help

Ok last night I went to the track again with a fressly broke-in ACT clutch and 110 mixed with 94. Ok so I turned the boost up to 25psi and was hoping to run at least a 12 flat but my best run was this:

RT .027
60 1.70
330 5.16
1/8 8.00
mph 85.08
1000 10.48
1/4 12.55
mph 108.94

Ok so I ran a 12.50@110 on my stock clutch and pump gas? What is wrong with my car? I was shifting better than I ever had, It's like I've lost power. You can see my mod's in my sig.... any recommendations?

12.5@108 on race gas and my mods with clean shifting and a decent launch just seem's very dissapointing... help

Have you checked for any leaks?

Personally, I believe your going to be a couple tenths slower with the ACT clutch , then even the stock clutch.

For the love of your evo , take it back to Buschur . It seem to be a prob that you cant figure out by yoruself . If you can spend all that $$ on parts , dyno time/diagnosis should not be a problem for you .

Something doesn't seem right with all of your mods. That car should be a low 12 second car.

I have run a best of 12.82 @ 105.88 with only a 3" turbo back exhaust, Apex air filter, MBC @ 21psi on pump gas, AMS intercooler and SAMCO hoses.

Stock cams, Stock ECU, Stock everything else.

I would consult with Bushur.

I don't see how that makes since, my act shifts much faster and smoother than my oem did and there is no slip at all!

i would check for leaks....something doesn't make sense....with your 60 foot and your mods...you should be going faster.........

Just wondering wether or not it was tuned with the same 94/101 oct mix (or something similar) that you ran with at the track?

LIFER Sep 24, 2005 07:05 PM

no it was tuned for 93, but David Buschur told me I had to do was turn the boost to 25psi for race gas.

Noticed today on the road I maxed at 1.65 bar and dropped to 1.0 bar, scary.. I think my boost controller settings are screwed up!

Sounds like a boost leak.

MOST DEF! BIG Time! People run 11s with the stock clutch...

It definitely sounds like a boost leak. Have Buschur do a leak test if you do not have a tester.

break- "i break things when i get mad"

brake- " i brake to slow down"

sorrry- i had to lol

to say "look at the mods, he should be faster" is misleading... you look at the trap speed. he's doing pretty good for the trap speed he's getting, there is no real lower time to be had out of the car.

BUT - he's getting a low trap for his mods which means he's not making as much HP as he should.

time for some dyno tuning.
