12.6sec for $700.00!!!!

I can't believe it. I finally after multiple runs at two different tracks finally hit mid 12's. I ran seven times today and the last two runs were my best times of the day. I mixed 91oct with 1.5gal of 110oct (leaded). I re-tuned the SafcII and boy did it make a difference in power. I don't have a lot of mods but it ran like a champ. These runs are done at 5000ft elevation. Besides my stock clutch needing to be replaced; it ran well. Does anyone know which clutch is inexpensive but good. Please let me know because I will need to replace it as soon as possible. For those that want to see the slips here you go:

Act 6 puck. It is cheap(500-600) and very good, but make sure you get it sprung so it isn't harsh engangement. I pull 1.6 60' with it all day. For the money it is pretty good. If you have more to spend you can go with the Exedy twin for about 1250-1350.

Thanks man my friend is running that same clutch and It hooks pretty good. Thanks for the input. Oh also great time; congrats on the 11's.

ACT MB7- HDSS w/prolight flywheel. Smooth as stock engagement and quiet as stock. For your mods its the perfect clutch. The six puck wont give you the nice smooth engagement, nor will the exedy twin. Any twin will also give you annoying decel noises plus other twin disc related noises. I have the clutch and flywheel i recommended and love it for daily driving. I had the Exedy twin in my 03 8 and while its a good clutch i hated the noised associated with a twin disc and really didnt need it for the power i was making. Keep searching and you,ll find that a properly installed and adjusted HDSS (ACT) is the way to go for your power.

Also I'm going with Cams, bigger piping, intercooler, fuel pump, and I need a clutch that will handle all of those other mods too. So the six puck it too harsh for street driving.

I recommend the ACT as well...for the money 450 and your mods it cant be beat really, along with stock pedal feel and no noise...also...great time, and if you get that 60ft down in the 1.6 range, you will be cutting 12.2 to 12.3 which is totally nice with your mods...HAPPY TUNING!!
