Post up Falken RT-615's 60' times here
I've done some searching and come up with alot of 1.7x's. My personal best is 1.71. I think Warr's is 1.69. Does anyone have better? What's the setup?
Post up your 60's if you have the RT-615's, and what size they are... mine are the 255/40/17's |
They suck for launching, but that's not what they're made for. I think my Z1 Star Specs are even worse due to an even stiffer sidewall, but really it comes down to track prep. My 1.69 and 1.72 were both right after the track got sprayed, but it only got worse as the night went on and the VHT wore off. Other days, I don't even get below 1.75 due to even less track prep.

I got a 1.68 the other nite. 255's at 25psi.
|
so I've got my goal for next time at the track... did you put 25 psi all the way around then?
Are you on stock suspension or something more aggressive? |
yeah, I think that I got about a 1.7 with 255s way back... this is a poor choice for a drag tire because they are really heavy, have still sidewalls, and tend to get greasy when overheated.

And about an extra 200whp, which makes a big difference. It's not quite the same as a 1.69 with 350whp, so keep that in mind, Liqquid.
But yes, more power. |
Noted.
Laf @ the 1.59 - gracious. How did they not spin? Great track, I guess. |
+1 care to share the details on the 1.59? I see your power numbers in your sig, those are mustang dyno? What suspension?

That 1.59 was in my full weight blue IX w/about 375whp. It was on pump gas and only had intake, exhaust, and flash. Even had stock cams. Here were the two runs from that night.
60' 1.631 330 4.752 1/8 7.391 mph 92.90 1000 9.648 1/4 11.563 mph 117.35 60' 1.595 330 4.721 1/8 7.375 mph 91.78 1000 9.647 1/4 11.568 mph 117.12 My cars are always consistent. My new white one went 1.5's also on RT's I believe, but can't find the slip. I haven't run it much on the RT's. The car came with the ACT clutch and the infamous lock out, so I didn't run it much that way. I made a bunch of changes all at once. They can run into the 1.5's no problem though at full weight on RT's and sub 400whp/dynojet numbers. Just need the right clutch. |
I just picked up a set of 255's on the stock bbs wheels.. Im hoping to get to the track on thursday and see what she can do. I was only able to cut 1.75's with the stock advans. I know these are not the best tires for drag racing i just needed new tires.. im not looking for anything amazing.. ill be happy with high 1.6's..
ill keep you posted. MOST-WANTED... Amazing driving.. I think i need a driver mod... How do you run a 7.3 with little bolt ons? Makes me sad when i look at my times. |
?? no offense but doesnt seem possible to me.. i ran a 7.59 in the 8th with his exact mods and a 1.61 60-foot time and the car only ended up running like a 11.96 @111
but i know most-wanted can drive.. |
