Think I can pull off mid-11's?

Well I'm almost done with the set-up i wanted for my stock turbo goals, I've got bolt-on's and E-85:D. The car is running extremely well and I'm really impressed by it.

Power wise the last time I dynoed it made around what i have in my sig, that's not what i left with but the max numbers during the dyno time, so around those numbers.

As far as driver mod I get pretty good 60' always low 1.7's and a couple times high 1.6's, shifting I'm average but I feel like I'm getting better each time down the track.

Weight: its a Evo IX SE with the addition of two amps and a single 10"sub in the trunk, some neons and LEDS:cool: and the beatrush underpanel, but I do have lightweight batt, exhaust and coilovers so probably around stock weight or less. Think I can pull-off 11.6 or close? Going to the 1/4 in a couple weeks, only raced in the 1/8th. Thanks.{thumbup}

your HP is right there for an 11.6 but its all down to the driver. I was able to pull 12.0's at 113-114 with 380whp on dynojet and high 1.6 60's with no power shifting. best way to tell where you should be is MPH in your 1/4 mile. for example (me) trapping 113-114mph 12.0 times is pretty good. not the best but very respectable. good luck

With high 1.6's as long as you trap 118-119mph like you should according to your dyno numbers you should be able to run low 11.5's if you no lift each gear. If you lift shift I'd say 11.6xx

thanks for the input guys appreciate it.... That's the thing I have a stock tranny and I have never done no lift shifts also I'm sure there will be consequences, have you ever tried it with the stock one.

I'm on a stock transmission and I no lift every time I race. If you don't have Tephra's no lift to shift patch I suggest installing it. It drops your rpms inbetween gears so it's not nearly as much stress on the transmission as regular no lift shifting.

I think it can be done....my first time at the track 345 whp dynojet i can 12.0 @ 114....like a few others said....its about the driver on this one..

all good info thanks for the references to your own cars it's good to have real life info and not just speculation... Also I'll talk to my tuner about this software sounds good..any other input please, thanks again

Im stock trans as well....i also did that on stock clutch and flywheel. Half lift shifting...if such thing exists but its how i race. lol. Im sure if you do some practice runs on the street before you run you'll be fine.

It's very easy to install the patch. If your not familiar with using ecu flash and editing definition files then just have your tuner do it for you. Should only take 20minutes to get it done from start to finish.

I shouldn't try to do it before the patch is installed though right? Cause the rpms would be too high...either way they tell me the track is very nice and I shouldn't have much problems hooking so all is set and done I would just have to get a bit more seat time then... Can anyone remember what they trapped in the 1/8th just for references purposes on my part..thanks

Unless you can shift fast I'd wait until you have the patch in before no lift shifting otherwise your going to slam the limiter hard.

For an 1/8th reference when I dyno'd 390whp I ran a 7.299@95.02mph with a 1.64 60ft

Is that when you ran the 11.3

Wow that must have burnt your clutch pretty badly huh, do you have the patch as well or do you just do 8000rpm no lifts? lol

Yes.

Your car is insanely fast and with stock cams, wow. I'm in the evo IX 3rd and 4th and when I get to the end of the 1/8 i fell like I should shift to 4th and I could, but that would hurt my 1/8 time. Would you shift to 4th before the end of the 1/8th if you were running on a 1/4 mile and if I do, would I just ride out 4th all the second half.
