My 10 second daily driver evo.
Took the car down to edgewater in cleves ohio today for the first track day of the year.
The car is setup just like it was last year with the stock turbo engine wise, exept I am running the 35r setup that I fabbed up. I ran some new bests in the car, the first pass I was on 23-24psi, the car came out of the whole ripping the tires off and went as follows. 60' = 1.848 330'= 4.778 1/8 = 7.200 mph= 101.01 1000= 9.293 1/4 = 11.079 mph = 125.12 After that pass I turned the boost back up to the normal ~27psi I have been runing and talked the tech guy into letting me run in the slick tire lane so I could run in the grove. Next pass was the best. 60' = 1.730 330 = 4.576 1/8 = 6.921 mph = 104.52 1000 = 8.943 1//4 = 10.680 mph = 128.95 With the stock evo 9 trans 4th gear tops out around 122mph @ 8400~ so I would shift to 5th around the 1000ft mark. Per the logs the car does not like that so I am sure it scrubbed off some speed. I am still very happy with what the car ran. I made one more pass but missed 4th gear for some stupid reason, still ran it out to a 10.9 Tech guys where cool, but took my card after 3 passes, I made some rednecks out there think twice about lookin at a 4 door. Here are a few vids of the car, the guy who took them is looking for a program to upload them in HD I will link those if he gets it worked out. http://vimeo.com/3531737 http://vimeo.com/3531337 I also added some pics on page 3. Fathouse What tire size are you running? When my car was tuned and revved to 8500...it was at 126mph in 4th gear. Would 100rpm really make 4mph??? Just curious. This was on 245/45 17 michelins. |
