AWD Motorsports GSR 8.75@162.80mph... Still Room for more too!!!!

Well i dont even know where to start man.. Was a crazy ass day at the track today.. We were actually loaded and ready to go to todays event the night before for once.. As you know when racing its always last minute.. We arrived early with the car and made a test and tune pass before qualifying.. The car bogged down on the new slicks and ran 9.6@160+ with a 1.8 60ft.. 1st round of qualifying came and we busted the tcase on the launch.. We didnt bring a spare because at a small local race we didnt really intend on doing any big repairs.. Even worse news was our other customer car Most-Wanted ( Brian ) broke his motor finally.. He has run tons of passes in this car from stock turbo, red and now 800+ on HTA 86 that it finally gave out when he missed 2nd gear and then got back on it..

Well with Brians car down my tech anthony looked at me and said ask Brian of we can take his tcase.. I asked him " Are you Serious ".. We have to do 2 tcases then and we have only 2 rounds of qualifying left and we dont even have slide hammers or tools for it.. Anthony says " get the Tcase ".. LOL

I asked brian to borrow his Shep TC and with no worries he said immediately anything you need on my car is yours.. We appreciate that Brian.. Without you we would have NEVER been able to run 8's today!!

Anthony jumped right on the job on my car to pull it out on the floor.. Let me remind you its 100+ degrees mid day at the track.. Anthony and Joel My other tech busted out my tcase and Brians swap in around 1 hour.. We were back up and running after missing 2nd round qualifying..

It started to pour rain and 3rd round qualifying was cancelled.. Now we are in last place and have to run the #2 Qualifier a mid 9 sec civic.. Im thinking we dont have this thing even close to dialed in we are screwed but we must go for it..

Well I guess from the title you can figure it out.. We ran that pass 8.75@162.80 mph heads up protree at an NSCRA Event.. We weighed in after in front of the whole field @ 2810lbs with Driver.. Not a flyweight car by any means..

This car has Full Glass, Stock Seat, Power Windows up front ( Which I have video of ).. :D

Well sorry about the long story but It was an eventful day and thought I would share the entire days events and what led up to the spectacular 8 second pass..

I must say thanks to Anthony, Joel, Shaun and Crispeed.. None of this is possible without these guys.. Most guys know and i am not ashamed to admit but i am no super Mechanic but i know the right way things should be done when i see it.. Anthony takes as much pride or more in my car and our customers than he does his own.. No stone is ever left unturned when he does a job.. As you can see with a 2 transfer case swap at the track and the car to run 8's after, things get done right here!!!

Thanks to David Buschur and all the guys @ BR for their help and building the Sickest Motors ALWAYS!! The coil on plug worked flawless as usual also!!!!

Thank you Tom @ Driven Innovation for the 8 Injector Manifold.. We look forward to testing the new 8 and 12 injector units.. ;)

Major Congrats. Huge stepping stone. Dont think anyone's car performed their best in 100+ degrees today. We logged our Air Intake Temps and they were reading 165 at the top of the run. Im sure yours were close to that too. Dont doubt you can improve your time at night or on a cooler day. Congrats again.
