I decided i was tired of lack of traction. I went out got me a set of hoosiers. Now ill tell ya, my 60's are nothing to write home about, but this about the differnce from street tire to these. I ran two weeks ago at opening night and the best i got was a 1.801 60'. Here are the excuses :p. this track is know for no prep. I mean no vht or brush downs ever! Ive learned to deal with it. its been cold here also 50-52 degrees. anyway. the track condition were no different this time. the best i got was a 1.63 and by far my best to date. Now with that said, my best last year was 1.67 with good track prep at woodburn. summer day and vht cause the bigs were running. So, i went from a 1.801 to a 1.63. thats worth every penny in my book. I know with some track prep and practive i can go low 1.5's with these. I shi__t you not. It was so cold even after a run they werent very gummy. I love these things.

Nice! Are those the 9sec9 ones? How much shipped?

EvoFredo Mar 14, 2010 10:53 AM

what size are those exactly? thanks for the info. for consistent 60fts id say they are worth it.

very nice...they look real similar to my kumho v710 tires I use for autox...I thought about trying them at the track but I'm afraid some part of my drivetrain would end up on the ground...haha...

accually they help to reduce the drive train shock. i spun them hard last night every time. zero wheel hop tho. I lowered my 2step to 4900 and they still spun. The track is seriously bad and i could have lowered my tire pressure more form 24 psi. I was scared of the same thing tho, i didnt want to break anything

Can these be driven on the street and how do they handle? Also what is the weight of each tire

not sure the weight. did weigh less my stock tires for sure. its been cold as heck here, so i mounted them when i got to track and was to lazy to switch out. I drove home on them and they felt no differnt on the hwy than a regular tire.

They look good mounted with the white walls out, don't they? haha I have them mounted the same way, looks great!!

CMB Mar 15, 2010 02:36 PM

Those are QTP slicks. not DR's.
