RRT Evo goes 8's! Full Interior, 3000lbs
 

Hey guys I'm not on here much but it's been a real busy and exciting year!

Took the win at IFO in NY in the FIS class earlier this summer. Then off to Ohio we went, and in typical Shootout luck I blew the transmission case apart and had to rebuild a transmission in the parking lot using scrap parts from multiple transmissions, what a stressful weekend but we took the win at The Shooutout in the Street Eliminator class.

We've been busy lately but decided to go to IFO in NH last minute. Pulled the car off the trailer.. first pass out 8.9@159! I couldn't be happier with the car and it's still got more left in her {thumbup} I got one more pass in the first round but was so far out ahead I decided to save the car for more rounds but was ultimately kicked out from the 8.9 pass I ran earlier. Unfortunately we were't prepared for such an exciting situation and only have one crappy video, we're waiting for a few people that hopefully have a better one!

Awesome run Raif, watched it from the stands and I don't think anyone was expecting sub 9 second run!!!
You put a lot of work to get the Evo where it is. This was built on hard work and sweat so it's that much sweeter.

So the win at the shootout you have to have the stock brakes on? if so what size are those wheels.

We'll see I've tossed around the idea of cutting up another car, this one is a little to nice :)

In Street Eliminator you just need a DOT tire, I was running 16" Forgelines with QTP's

What is the setup of the car?

Hell to the NO. Do not cut it up. There are many cut up 8 sec EVOs and DSMs. Doing it in full interior trim IS the accomplishment. {thumbup} Congrats Raif!

How much boost was being ran for the 159 mph pass?

Congrats! What turbo?

Im about 95 percent its a precision 6870, maybe raif will chime in to confirm though.

Guess he doesn't race IFO FIS anymore or switches turbos? 68mm isn't class legal.
