evo 5 first time on the drag strip

hi guys went to my first drag meet yesterday first time ever racing, my car is a evo 5 gsr converted to rs with rs lsd diff front and rear it has the stock a stock evo 7 engine and transmission with stock clutch with HKS intercooler pipe and full 3" Apexi N1 custom made exhaust with ebay sequential BOV never tune or dyno did 12.6sec on my first run did 12 on my second run the pic shows my best time just wondering how did i do for my first time https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.evo...5bfc46c0b3.jpg

60 foot time can be improved. Get that down to 1.8 or better. I don't understand why the speed is so low. Is this a 1/4 mile pass? For 11.6s time in 1/4 mile, I would expect to see 116-120 mph.

Saw the same thing. The slip MPH times dont look right. The right lane speed shows 57.87mph?

Also, your notes shows you ran 12 sec but the slip shows 11.6? Unlikely a stock 4G63 will run mid 11's

Help us out w/some clarification {thumbup}

Oh, I see. Had no idea they ran a 1000ft strip. NHRA does that now w/the top fuel class vs the full length at 1320ft

Thanks for clarifying :beer:

You need to consider getting a real tune vs raising just the boost (either a street or dyno tune)

Have you looked into that?

Double posted again!

That makes more sense!
So your car is a mid 13s 1/4 mile car. You should be able to get 60ft down to 1.8s and then yout 1000ft can drop to 11.3-11.4s :chug:

Understand! There are remote tuners who can do this as well. You send them your logs & they make adjustments & will send you the new tune to load
