I would say it hesitates more while I'm accelerating. Does that sound right/normal? Again this might sound stupid but I'm very new to these cars and manuals in particular.

Possibly; I'll definitely pay attention to this the next time I go out driving

Some weird issues, only thing I have noticed is on my IX MR is shifting into second from first will be notchy until the trans fluid warms up. Sometimes even after it will still be a little notchy, but if i do a quick pull and go through the gears carefully then it shifts very smooth. Maybe I need new trans fluid? I've heard that along with bushings..maybe even a front motor mount install would make it much better? Can anybody comment on that?

I experience the same thing... Till the transmission warms up I usually skip over 2nd because it's such a pain. I could be rolling at 5 mph and the transmission will still refuse to go into 2nd gear. Makes me want to cry.

Oh the light just turned green and you're slowly rolling? FU I will not let you shift into 2nd. I either have to almost completely stop and shift into 1st or slip into 3rd...

3rd gear is notchy for me (normal driving). If I shift slow, it's smooth. No problems with spirited and track.

Did you ever get this figured out? I have the exact same issue.
