Al, I would like to get your base flash since my Evo is stock. Do I need to make an appointment and send you a deposit? Where will all this take place in L.A.? Thanks.

I made my deposit this morning.
Looking forward to seeing you all.

Stupid question for the group:
When 40 EVOs pull up to a parking lot and start doing 3rd and 4th gear pulls I've heard it attracts cops. Are we doing this on public roads, private lots...or what?

Let's make it like a rave and have check point to the final location. )

I am also considering a special on Dyno session on either the Friday or the Monday after for those who may have very highly modified cars with aftermarket turbos or other serious mods which render them too fast for street tuning

Honestly - I greatly prefer to street tune - particularly on 91 octane as we can get the exact load and dat log the car for real driving conditions

Dynos are useful but in our epxerince do not duplicate real world driving conditions

For cars that exceed 400 whp the dyno starts to become more necessary as they start to get very fast and its hard to tune and drive them at the same time

The bad part about the Dyno sessions - if we do them is the extra cost of the Dyno which is $200 per hour and takes about 2 hours to complete

As you can see the dyno time alone is almost as costly as my tuning services - travel fees which I cover and the reflash itself

Just wanted to throw this out for those who may be interested

Al - give me the 0930 timeslot on Saturday.

What happened to the date though? The original post said 4th weekend in July which is the 24th - but the timeslot post says July 31.
