I met up with Al at 9:00 in the morning in Westlake, CA to do a Base Flash. He did his thing to the ECU and then we went for a test drive. I was impressed on how smooth the car felt and he showed me that the car was doing about 17 degrees of timing on 19 PSI with our crappy 91 octane gas. I later drove it myself and the off boost response was so much better. The car pulled damn good to redline also. I then headed down to the Carlsbad Dragstrip which is about 150 miles away. I have a K & N drop in filter, a custom 3” cat-back exhaust, and a Profec B boost controller and I recently installed a Walboro 255 fuel pump. Last month my best ET was a 13.49 and a best trap speed of 103.37 MPH on 91 octane with 18 PSI. Today with the Base Flash I got a 13.38 with a best trap speed of 104.42 on 91 octane and it was about 15 degrees hotter than last month! My 1/8 mile went from 8.62 @ 79.32 to a 8.59 @ 81.17. Thanks Al, I’m pleased with the results. I wonder what a custom tune would have done. I’ll hook up with you for a custom tune next time you are in L.A.

Next time you come back AL ill be there with my 2nd custom tune... I couldnt make it to this tune because all my parts didnt come in time...but next time for sure ill be ready......

Glad you liked your tune bro,but trust me once you get 264 cams the evo turns into a beast

I'm working on getting a down pipe, hi-flow cat, and a test pipe for now. I wish I could get 264 cams. I had them in my Eagle Talon and they were great!
