Didn't want to do it but have too

I was a happy dynoflash customer, now im unhappy and not a customer any more.

I had a mail-in flash for my EVO, It was great ran great, pulled great, and driveability was good.

I added a few more mods i believe intake, hotside and o2. So i wanted to make sure the tune was good i sent the ECU back in paid the 100 for the reflash. Got the ECU back after being lost for a day or two on its way back. Plugged it in and the car wouldn't start. After a few calls i finaly got AL on the phone and he said sounds like i had the P300 fix and send it back. So round number two, no start again. Got him on the phone again and said he would flash back to stock and see if some thing had happened to the car while it sat in my garage for the now two week process. Third round flash goes back to stock. I get the ECU back with stock flash. It fires right up.

Not wanting to go through this again and not wanting to drive my car on a stock ECU. i step up to the EMS a local shop got me one the same day. Had it running on the EMS that day.

I have given AL time as this was in Jan when this all went down i have PM'ed him twice since then about this issue No response either time, just a sorry no refunds would be nice. It would be great even just to get the 100 for the reflash back. Ill eat the three next day shippings that i have from this even though i believe i have about 50 rapped up in that too.

wow man that sucks..

gaulrich2003 Jun 19, 2006 09:10 AM

I am sure he will provide u with a full refund since it is stated on his website:

*Mail-in ECU requires owner to FedEx ECU to DynoFlash. The ECU will be reflashed and sent back by FedEx the same day. Refund can only be given if customer returns ECU to us to be reflashed back to stock

KOEvo Jun 19, 2006 09:10 AM

Cool, pointless thread. It sounds like he did the best he could, and i'm pretty sure his next day shipping is $60 each time, so technically you owe him another $20.

OK OK, even if it's $30 each time, who cares about $40? Honestly, it's not a big deal. I MEAN it sucks your ECU didn't work for a long period of time, but it's not really AL's fault when you concider all the tunes he's done, and that yours was one of the few that wouldn't work. Sounds like your ECU needs to be thrown out a window to me.

Spaceball 1 Jun 19, 2006 09:15 AM

Yeah not really pointless to me as i have 150 and two weeks just to go back a step to a stock ECU

OK with that thinking, if your Evo doesn't even run when you buy it you should just suck it up, cause Mitsu made 100,000 others that do run.

KOEvo Jun 19, 2006 09:55 AM

Yeah you have a point there.

Still, i would ask him every once and a while for the $ back, not make a post on EvoM about it. It's $150, suck it up.

Spaceball 1 Jun 19, 2006 10:03 AM

READ MY FIRST POST don't just comment! i contacted him twice before this thanks.

Your first post was pointless. Its obvious you don't give a damn that this guy was out of a car for 2 weeks and cash, on top of the fact that he must have had to drive another car which could have been costly if it was a rental AND the fact that Al didn't get back to him. Its that kind of attitude that will change the market to favor the sellers instead of us the buyers.

We don't have enough info to figure out if Al is to blame so lets not start a war by pointing fingers BUT he absolutely should have gotten back to you through PM.

Spending $150 bucks and not getting anything back is a big deal.

I'm not a huge fan of being THAT guy who comes on and bashes a vendor (I'm not saying thats what you're doing!) without giving them the courtesy of fixing the problem first.

However, it looks like he's having trouble getting in contact with Al and he's posting up to get his attention. If you're calling him and pming him and still no response, then i don't think he should just sit there without trying to get the problem resolved.

I'm sure Al will take care of you.

yellowmars Jun 19, 2006 10:13 AM

ahh yes, just another episode of..

How the Al Turns

KOEvo Jun 19, 2006 10:14 AM

You're exactly correct, i could care less about this guy or if he had his Evo for 2 weeks or not.

And it wasn't pointless because the other 101 people who have viewed this thought the same exact thing. Whoopedy doo, $150 bucks, WHO CARES. Nothing to loose sleep over; NEXT THREAD...

I understand you contacted him twice, but sometimes it takes more then that, he's a busy guy. If it were me i would just try and give him a call every once and while until i got a hold of him and got my money. If i never got it back, i sure as hell wouldn't post it in his sponsored forum for everyone to read over $150.

And exactly why i am even posting in this stupid thread is exactly because of what you said Boltz. We have no idea if it is his fault or not; So why does this dude have to come on here making him look bad? He probably didn't plug it back in  .

Agreed, but we could go without the:

If he was just trying to contact Al he would have not said that.

If a $150 isn't that big of a deal to you why don't you give Spaceball1 the money.

KOEvo Jun 19, 2006 10:26 AM

Sure, gimme your Pay Pal Spacedude.

Actually, like i said, i would contact them sparatically until i got it, NOT post on EvoM vendor bashing. That's what you do when you scammed, ripped off, or get a friggin body kit that doesn't fit and they won't take it back.
