Tale of two Stage I Evo IX's - one with o2 housing and on with stock o2 housing
Tital says it all - two IX's on the same day - both tuned the same way - similar mods - boost level - a/f etc etc
It seems the 02 housing is good for a solid 10 whp or more http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g3...oo2housing.jpg http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g3...ho2housing.jpg |
what kind of o2 housing was it?
ebay, buschur, invidia? im trying to decide if the name is worth the extra dough |
^^ beat me to it!!.. also what were the mods on the car?
|
Al, do you recall which brand O2 housing was the IX using???
Thanks for the info!!! |
my bet is the generic one. ssa, xspower, megan etc.
|
     buschur for sure.
|
Looks the car with the o2 housing is running factory boost control. His spoolup is wicked late compared to the first car.

Both had intakes ARc vs HKS - MBC's - full 3" exhuasts etc with custom reflashes - the non 02 housing car also had a fmic with stock fmic pipes
Al |
the rpm on both sheet are set not like each other?
|
did the cars have test pipes or cats?
|
Thanks for the post, Al. Appreciate the expert research on mods like this...of course, that's why I'm getting O2 housing.
|
