Thanks RRE for Stage 1E (E85) 383whp/ 383 tq V5 Tephra mod

Just got dyno tuned by RRE using the Alternate Map switch tuning for 91 Costco gas and E85. I can switch fuel maps using a toggle switch and don't need to lug my laptop around anymore. Stock turbo/internals

I have a very basic Stage 1 Pkg all installed by RRE:
RC Engineering 1000cc injectors
Walbro fuel pump
Zeitronix stage Eleventeen
RRE high flow cat
Espelir 2.75" downpipe
AVO catback
Dejon Tool boost controller
K&N dropin
RRE Dynotune flash w/ alternative map switching functionality
Zeitronix Ethanol Content Analyzer

E85 stages can be found here:
http://www.socalevo.net/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=37&topic=53637.0

Please keep the [dyno racing]"well it reads to high/low" well Buschur reads this, and AMS reads that comments to a min.
383.6 peak whp and torque!

Boost spikes at 30.7PSI, then tapers down from there. Gotta love the stock turbo...

Costco's finest 91 Octane charts. Came out well!

E85 tune compared to my Costco 91 tune

Acceleration in G's. Pretty neat function

I need a boost gauge which can read higher

Toggle switch and LED lighting to indicate which fuel map i am on

Congrats! That should translate to around 350awhp on a dynojet. What are your plans for future mods? I'd look at getting a 3" down-pipe vice a 2.75", and also some cams would help you out as well.

My wife has an Evo IX with a few more mods then yours; she made 350awhp on a dyno dynamics dynamometer on 91 octane at 23psi. We are adding an AEM EMS and are going to have it tuned on E-85. We are hoping for 400awhp!

Best of luck to you!

Future mods will be kept very minimal... Is Scot Gray tuning your EMS?

I think your a little mixed up no way a stock turbo IX that is making 350whp on a dd on 91 is going to make 383 on that dynopack.

I am currently on the stock Ecu, and a local guy named Alain has been doing all the tuning. I am getting ready to purchase an AEM EMS, and Alain is going to continue doing the tuning.

Confused? Me, no. You, maybe. A dynapack is the highest reading dyno. It reads about 10% higher than your average dynojet. I started off buy saying that the OP's dyno numbers of 383awhp on a dynapack is about 350awhp on a dynojet. Pretty respectable numbers. I then stated that my Evo made 350awhp on a dyno dynamics dynamometer with my current mods and 91 octane, and that with the soon to be installed AEM EMS and tuning on E-85 I fully expect to make at least 400awhp on a dyno dynamics dynamometer.

Wow...you are totally mis-understood here. Here is the "dyno hierarchy":

Mustang dyno < dyno dynamics dynamometer < dynojet < dynapack

That is in order from the lowest reading dyno to the highest.

Let's keep the dyno wars to a minimum. I used a Dynapack due to its ability to add almost any type of load on the car as needed. It can even lockup all the axles regardless of how much power you throw at it if you really wanted to and it can put a car on any load at any RPM you desire. The car was put on a load similar to driving in 5th gear while going uphill during tuning.

Just a FYI, i did 353whp @25PSI on 100 octane on a Dynojet with the same mods, except i had 660cc injectors during the dynojet run, and my butt dyno says the E85 tune is stronger than the 100 octane tune.

The reason why E85 makes some crazy tq is because you can run more boost and timing. Boost and timing are what make torque. This same concept applies when you run MS109 or higher.
