Fuel system after 3+ years on E85
ive had bad luck with the gunk issue so far. while the first time could be partially my fault (i let them sit in my dirty/dusty basement for a month) one injector was clogged.
got them all cleaned and flow matched by FIC and put them back in the new motor, 2 tank of gas now i think one is starting to get clogged up again, have yet to confirm, will pull my injectors soon. ill also pull my double pumper to see what my socks look like
FIC 2150's

To add to this thread, and this is not pointed towards psphinx81 whatsoever, but just in general,
To be clear I didn't post this to say nobody is having issues. I posted it to show what my system looked like after the time stated. Anybody that projects thinking I'm trying to make it gospel is delusional.
nevermind! it turned out my one wire came completely out of my plug and play connector on my injector somehow. put that sucker back in and all is good, however my injectors looked absolutely perfect so thats good!

It's interesting most of the bad gunk reports I have seen are A. Not from west coast and B. seem to be mainly FIC rochestor based injectors.
Not sure if it's the injectors or a coincidence.
I believe, if I recall correctly, in the "E85 gunk" thread somebody had got the gunk looked at chemically and it was petro based, so something from the fuel prcoess and not the fuel system parts I believe.

A. West Coast
B. RC1000
So your theory has little merrit. This is not an argument, it's a way to track down the route cause of the "Gunk".

The photos I shot in this thread are of RC1000 as well, but using Propel E85, not Pearson.
awesome! i see that you said the car sits for a while without being driven, i was worried about running e85 since my car gets driven only about 2 days per week, but i guess its no problem?

Car sits for 3-4 weeks on average for the last year. I drive it for about 4-5 days, once a month.

This car has now sat for 13 months without moving or the motor being run.
I'll take some photos of how everything looks when I start getting it ready to be put back on the road.
Should be interesting.
