Issues with injector scaling

Hey guys, recently switched to e85, along with a ton of other mods...anyway, got fic 1650 high z and they run stupid rich (-25 stft) until I have them scaled around 1250-1270.

This really shouldnt be right, any reason why it would be doing this? It’s on a SD system so i really doubt a boost leak would be the cause

The FIC 1650 high-Z can be difficult to tune due at idle due to the non-linear characteristics of this design. Here are the settings that worked for me on E85:

why wouldnt that be right? Your scaling is for E85 not gas.
there you go, big thanks is to cdrinkh2o for all that great info!

The reaaon I feel that something is wrong is because I’ve seen numbers ranging from 950-1170 for the scaling and it took me numbers in the 12s to 1300s to get a stable idle.

Check your fuel pressure?

CT9A PR Jun 14, 2018 03:23 AM

Pump gas

3.552
2.736
1.752
1.272
0.984
0.792
0.576

scale

1462

minimum ipw

.784

for e85 id prob drop my scale to 1100 to 1250 range

Hey guys, turns out it was a leak...and at the most critical piece...the MAP sensor. After correcting several small leaks (egr gasket, TB gasket, and biss screw) I found, it finally revealed itself. Reseated it and it was fine. Idles fine, and afr is stable...albeit I still feel having to scale the injectors so high isn't quite correct compared to others. However, I'll just take it at this point. Thanks for your inputs.

Well, another update today...idles fine...went to drive and it just sputtered and wanted to stall...so yeah. Back to the drawing board haha.

Just wanted to bump this and see if you were able to remedy this problem.

I actually did, at least for what was listed here.

The reason it sputtered and fell on its face? The car was in open loop for some testing purposes and I forgot to set it back to closed. Therefor it went to read the fuel tables (which I had not adjusted for cruise) and went crazy.

What scaling, latencies, linearization, and minmum ipw did you end up using? One of the suggested above?

Hi. I would like to ask how the 91 E85 handover program was achieved.

Reckless4g63 Oct 14, 2019 09:04 PM

Sorry to bring thread but I can’t seem to adjust my latency below 1.200 any ideas why that would be?
