noob question for Jestr tuning
noob question for Jestr tuning
Currently I have on my evo 8:
Evo IX turbo
TBE
LICP
Apexi intake
Mods sitting in my kitchen:
Greddy pro fec B boost controller
Fuel pump
Bought a Tactrix cable...so is it recommended that I add the boost controller and fuel pump, before sending my ECU readings to Jestr...or...does it matter?

Yes install them before sending back any datalogs to Jestr, because that fuel pump and the upped boost will dramtically change the outcome.
Is that what you were asking? Understanding your initial question is somewhat of a challenge.

thanks...
you answered my question.
I was wondering if he actually modified the current map that you send, or just sends a generic map.
I'm just waiting for the weather to warm up to install the parts, and if that didn't matter, I was going to send it in while I waited.

i think you're totally missing some key points.
there is your ECU rom which can be downloaded and reflashed by ECUFlash
and there are also Logs you can take while driving - that are recorded into files via a program like Mitsulogger or EvoScan.
he sends you a generic map based on your mods, and rom version. In my case i sent him a version 13 Evo9 USDM ROM, he sent me back his generic tuned ROM based on the latest version 15 Evo9 USDM ROM. After you've got all your mods installed and running - you flash the new rom he gave you, and then you record logs to see how its running. If things don't look so hot, you send him you're logs, and he will modify the ROM he sent you based on your logs. and then you reflash the revised one he sends you.
You can send him your stock ROM any time, with a list of mods, boost level, and octane - and he will email you a tuned ROM. but you have to make the logs After you've installed all your mods, and flashed his base map.
So my answer is no - you don't have to wait around to send him your stock map. he only uses the stock map to grab your immobilizer code, and ROM version.
And it doesnt make sense to send him any logs until after you've got everything installed - including the first ROM he sends you.
