Are u reuploding the rom after u change the limit ? Did u try changing your rev limit to like 6k and see if that works ? If that don't work then u missing some thing or u not uploading the edited rom ? Sorry if it sounds noobish but u said u keep downloading the map and it keeps saying 5000, then ethers some thing wrong with your upload.

But what to DO ON EVO9? In the stock map it is set to 2125, and even if I change it to 6000 rpm the Launch control does remain on 5000 rpm???

That doesn't sound right. My stock limiter was at 5000 and changing the value works great. It sounds like you might have the wrong address in your definition file.

wait wait wait, OP you said that you didnt hit the gas because you didn't want it to red line, does this mean that you didn't even bring it has 5500 or 5900 which is waht you have it set at?????.....

mash it up mon ....have car not moving and hold foot all the way on gas, i'm sure you have precision by now to know not to red line!!...but i also have my clutch pedal switch disc. so i can start car without pressin clutch and i can test rev limit without hittin clutch it works

The address is 2750. That address doesn't need to be in the evo7base.

It looks like everything with your ECU and ECUFlash is fine. It's either something hardware related, like I mentioned before, or you are letting off the gas before that RPM, as the previous poster mentioned.

Don't be afraid to test it out. Just press in your clutch in first gear, floor the gas, and don't let go until you hit like 7k. You won't break anything.

If it doesn't work still, then there is something wrong that is hardware related, either with a clutch switch, VSS, or one of those lines being tapped into by something else in your car.

was it going to 5 grand prior to you messing with the stationary rev limiter?...i dont even need to have my car in gear or clutch depressed for it to work...i have no clue whats goin on with yours....in ecu flash, read the rom from the ecu again, and look at it, maybe it never got uploaded or wrong rom chosen...

Are you 100% positive that you are testing this OK? Are you holding WOT until you reach past 5000 RPM, or are you afraid and letting off the gas?

Also, did you ever log your speed to make sure your VSS is OK?
