Hmm, maybe, I just noticed this on the dl page;
MacLogger-2.01: [DMG.GZ](leopard only): Dec 7, 2007

I still have my PB at 10.3, and I confirmed that 2.0 won't even launch

Oh well, might be a good excuse to upgrade.

The only real reason that it is leopard only is that I no longer have a pre-leopard compile machine. If you want to compile it yourself, it should run fine on 10.3/ppc.

I just got my cable so I've been playing around a bit. After checking out the source and installing swig, I tried doing a build. However, I'm getting errors that seem specific to a function in source;

Code:
[<my_box>:~/Desktop/libmut] <my_user>% make
Making all in .
if gcc -DPACKAGE_NAME=\"libmut\" -DPACKAGE_TARNAME=\"libmut\" -DPACKAGE_VERSION=\"0.5\" -DPACKAGE_STRING=\"libmut\ 0.5\" -DPACKAGE_BUGREPORT=\"donour@cs.unm.edu\" -DPACKAGE=\"libmut\" -DVERSION=\"0.5\"  -I. -I.     -g -O2 -DMAC_OSX -Wall -MT mut_connect.o -MD -MP -MF ".deps/mut_connect.Tpo" -c -o mut_connect.o mut_connect.c; \
then mv -f ".deps/mut_connect.Tpo" ".deps/mut_connect.Po"; else rm -f ".deps/mut_connect.Tpo"; exit 1; fi
if gcc -DPACKAGE_NAME=\"libmut\" -DPACKAGE_TARNAME=\"libmut\" -DPACKAGE_VERSION=\"0.5\" -DPACKAGE_STRING=\"libmut\ 0.5\" -DPACKAGE_BUGREPORT=\"donour@cs.unm.edu\" -DPACKAGE=\"libmut\" -DVERSION=\"0.5\"  -I. -I.     -g -O2 -DMAC_OSX -Wall -MT mut_init.o -MD -MP -MF ".deps/mut_init.Tpo" -c -o mut_init.o mut_init.c; \
then mv -f ".deps/mut_init.Tpo" ".deps/mut_init.Po"; else rm -f ".deps/mut_init.Tpo"; exit 1; fi
mut_init.c: In function `set_baudrate':
mut_init.c:140: error: `IOSSIOSPEED' undeclared (first use in this function)
mut_init.c:140: error: (Each undeclared identifier is reported only once
mut_init.c:140: error: for each function it appears in.)
make[1]: *** [mut_init.o] Error 1
make: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
[<my_box>:~/Desktop/libmut] <my_user>%
This is on a 10.3.9 PB G4 using recent versions of make & autoconf. Is there another dependency I'm missing? I've tried a few times and I get the same error.

I'll try this on my 10.4 G5 box next, and I might give it a go on my xubuntu laptop too.

Email me directly and I'll see if I can help you track down the error.

Thanks a bunch D, just sent you a log. I also tried a build on my 10.4 G5 iMac, and I got different errors, but they may be because of my build env, I'm upgrading to latest xcode + build tools. I sold my linux laptop, but will see if I can try on another box at work too.

Then again, this might be the excuse I neede to get a Macbook...
