hmmm?

if the fuel is leaner it will burn quicker, thus, needs less timing?

The timing helps keep the power up.

so you try to force the ecu for driveability stay in open loop only in the cruesing area and below and upper load/rpm value will be in closed loop as stock until the boost build up against stay in always open loop ?

the 14.7 area of the ecu map is the closed loop area. This area is controled by the O2 sensors to maintain 14.7. As the car climbs into the higher load areas it goes into open loop, the area of the map which you can control by adjusting the map cells. (You can not control the closed loop area unless you change the ecu to allow it in that area.)

It is possible to adjust the cruise area (normally closed loop) once you make it allowed, to drive as well as the original.

So, normal cruise area is from 0 load to about 110 load area (give or take) from there the car uses the fuel map to determine what fuel to give.

is that clear?

You can choose to select a certain area to control too. Some people choose the idle area to control, others, the opposite. Or you can control the entire map.
