Virtual Dyno Room-Dyno Simulator
i have the complete opposite problem. i log too many samples (DMA) and the power/torque figrues via the excel program are 10-20% more than if i did a log via evoscan.
brad does ur program use all rpm samples or only 1 rpm point per 50rpm bracket.

?All jokes aside, I am glad you still got the itch for writing code. If you need help with anything (testing, or what-not) let me know, but keep it on the dl.

Other than not being able to get any friggin' free time to fix the bugs in it, it works.
Having it use every data point is best but I saw marginal differences compared to the 50rpm increments so I went that way to minimize the formulas and such.

jack i did a log with livemap (about 35+samples per second) with evoscan only logging 3 items or so i was at 20ish samples. anyway the the difference in power for the same tune (Slightly different ambient temp was 25+ hp (temp corrections disabled on both). anyway i am looking at finishing livemap vdr and will see in testing how it compares with logs from evoscan.
on the livemap samples the rpm would remain the same over a few lines (As the sample rate is higher) maybe confusing the calculations... plus your VDR shows an abnormally big jump in power over 5000rpm when logged via dma.

I noticed the same thing....I have samples where the time changes, but rpm remains the same. DMA logging with 30+ samples a second. I will log with EvoScan and see if there is a difference when the car is back together.
Update on the standalone program ... I have reworked a lot of it and redone the user interface in the last week. One of the forum members has been helping test it (all 26 versions this week) and its still in beta. I may be getting close to releasing it with the understanding its in beta. Ive got to figure out how to deploy it. If anyone has any webspace to (5 megs or so...) that I can publish a clickonce project to let me know. That way I dont have to host the thing from my personal webserver at my house. Otherwise I wont be adding automatic updating into the program to let you know of a new version. If I deploy it with clickonce when I publish an update you will get it next time you start the program.
Let me know what you guys think.
Its still got some bugs and still not finished (some icons missing, some other graphical stuff needs fine tuning) but the majority of it works.

no there isn't so the 08 will work exactly the same.
Im thinking the final version will not be distributed with click once ... I just forsee problems with me trying to distribute it that way.
Stackhouse ... nah you cant take the programmer out of me ... not even satan (Roger). Ill keep it on the DL if you test it. Lord knows what they do to people that have anything to do with programming outside of work. Also if you want to test it let me know and Ill send you a link to where to get it. Its getting real close to the first open beta release of it.
Mellon, your review helped a lot. Thanks for the words of encouragement.
Jack, Ziad, Newcomer ... Ill keep yall in mind as far as hosting goes. It shouldnt be that big of a deal to host it. I dont forsee a TON of traffic.
Ohh and everyone keep in mind that right now I only have Manual Evo X, IX, VIII in there to select from. I WILL be adding more as time goes but right now Im more worried that the thing works correctly. Plus I need the specs (gear ratios, weight, and such) for the other models. Thank you all for the continued support, and Ill get it out to everyone very soon.
