Ecuflash can't read my ECU

Hey guys. I did some searching but wasnt able to come up with anything. Ive used Evoscan 2.5 and Tactrix 1.3 before on my previous EVO 9 and everything worked fine. I bought another EVO 9 and using same laptop with Evoscan 2.5 and same cable and it doesnt log and doesnt read from ECU. Downloaded Evoscan 2.6 and same thing is happening. Here is what it says on screen:

ECU flashing:

flashing tool "mitsukernel" loaded.
flashing tool "mitsukernelocp" loaded.
flashing tool "mitsubootloader" loaded.
OpenPort Cable Connected.
3064 byte kernel read.
sending init sequence 1 (0001)
interface close

Installed a brand new battery.
I did try running unlocker but no luck still.
Another person tried with his Tactrix cable and laptop and same result.
Car passed the smog, so I think they connect to OBDII port and it should be working then.
Any help? Thanks in advance

Both plugs are connected. Is the white plug supposed to have only one wire going from it?

I had something like this happen to me and it was the wires going in to the conector from the ecu were a little loose. I pushed on them and it worked. Good luck with it.

Yes only 1 wire from the flash plug. As per above post check the plugs are tight and wires have not popped out.

Try driving the car around for 5-10 minutes first.. If still no luck then you need to track down an older version of ecuflash like 1.29. Shoot me a pm or email if you end up needing a copy

Check all fuses - under hood and under dash.

I tried driving the car first. Plus i just put in a brand new Optima red top in it. Thanks for the offer but Ive found older versions of ECUFlash and tried 1.29, 1.29a, 1.34 etc..no luck.

Checked fuses under hood. All good. I will try checking fuses under dash when I get home. Is it possible that under dash fuses have something to do with it? Does anyone have their diagram, or is there one under there?

I got the car without any previous history. I tried running unlocker with multiple ECUFlash versions. No luck.

just use ECU unlocker http://www.aktivematrix.com/forum/dl...4e2da9032b166a and remember to donate to Malibujack, if it was not for him, you would have to buy another ECU.

Checked all under dash fuses. All good except the one on the pic is missing, Is there supposed to be one? There is a plastic tab that prevents a reg fuse to go in. What is that fuse for if there is one? Is there anything else Im missing there? How or do I need to check those big plastic black plugs/fuses on the top and left?

Here is the back of my OBD2 connector. 7 wires coming out seems to be connected good. Dont know what else to check. Any help is appreciated.

Finally was able to read it. Used a different laptop, downloaded ECUFlash 1.29a. Used unlocker. Played with wires a bit and it worked. Not sure what the problem was. Thanks everyone for suggestions anyway.
