Virtual Dyno - Standalone Software
Brad,
I pulled in a text log from an AEM export and I guess the sampling was to high and the graph was not smooth, it took smoothing at 30 to get it to look somewhat normal. I then tried one that was a restricted rate of the same pull and the graphing was much better. Just wanted to give you a heads up on that.

Boost graphing is looking good. Give me another day of coding and clean up then its going to the beta testers.
Itzwolf: im increasing the smoothing per level selected so that may help some.

Theboz: nice interface ... It looks familiar for some reason
The reason im not using the dynojet style of displaying the legend is i needed more room to display car info to keep people honest when posting graphs. You never answered if you hand drew the legend boxes or what. Are those part of zed or just normal controls that are dynamically placed.
Ive known how to change the font in the title ... Just couldnt have two different fonts in one legend.

Sorry if this has been covered. I just upgraded to 1.0.4. Works great Brad.
Is there anyway to save the EVO model, gear, etc.? Or does that have to be selected each time?
I guess I'm looking for the default settings. ThanX.

+1. Would be nice to have the option of setting a default car/gear/tire/weight etc for those who only log one car.

As I said before I did use the same open source zedgraph, and went through and did the research to get the HP/TQ calculations. I also use a very different smoothing algorithim than on yours.
I am willing to assist but only in your code base. I know that sounds sketchy, but we can both sign some NDA's and call it good.
Outside of that, here is what mine looks like with 8 runs while I was on the Dyno at FSR Motorsports.
just played with the 1.0.4 with some logs and damn.. Brad this thing is awesome.. you're doing an amazing job man. It feels like a very professional program now. It looks awesome and I love how you have the tire stuff so you click the little box and the way the smoothing table works when it adjusts the lines on the graph is great.. Such an amazing job! Keep up the good work!

Keep your pants on ... default profiles for vehicles are coming. Ive been thinking about the interface and the workings of it. I think its going to be the next major overhaul after this boost graphing gets put in there.
Im scheduling some time with a graphics designer I know to help me touch up the interface some. When I talk to him and get some input from him, and possibly get him to design some graphics to make it look a little better ... I may have to put features on hold till I get the changes with him made. I have to kind of work around his schedule since he is being a nice guy and helping me out. I dont think it will delay things long at all. Im taking a leave of absense and going about 6 hours from home for vacation ... and we all know what that means ... the laptop is going with me and Ill be very productive!!! I hope you all enjoy this program cause most of it was written on a couch overlooking a private beach. I like you guys enough I gave up the beach because of a moment of inspiration
It was some of the most relaxed development Ive done.
Im glad all of you like it so far. Look how far its come in only 3 weeks of being released. Its getting better every day. You guys rock.
