Try raising your ISCV tables in the operating temp area and/or try the timing trick I said above.

Report back.

 

Bumping the ISCV values didn't make a difference. I played with the ISCV under 500 rpm demand table. Stock number is around 10%. Increasing as high as 30% makes no difference. I will increase idle timing next.

 

Appauld suggested I change the idle stability and idle error tables in addition to the timing increases. My idle recovers quick enough now to prevent stalling at parking/driveway speeds. However the car still stumbles if you give it some gas and then clutch in. Idle drops to 500 before the above changes correct the stumble. I need to fix the Tephra induced stumble.

 

Now open the BISS about 1/4 to 1/2 turn. Your idle should be rock stable. I also recommend resetting your ecu to allow LTFT re learn. Just disconnect the batt and attempt to start the car. It sucks any residual power stored in the ecu and causes the ecu to re learn upon the next start up. Do this fast enough you won't lose your radio stations.

 

My BISS is already set at 900+ rpm. Would adding a zero load row back into the big maps help? How about increasing MAF scaling below 50 hz?

 

I also tried adding the zero row into my big maps. That change did not change the idle stumble.

 

I doubt it will make you feel better but I am fighting the same thing.

if I am running with my AC on I have to be extra careful rolling to a stoplight because the car will either come very close to dying (lights on dash come on) or stalling completely.

Previous owner was running Tephra v7 (don't know the ROM number yet) as I am just getting into figuring out this tuning myself. I had to order a tactrix cable and wideband since previous owner didn't include them with the vehicle.

I'll probably start up a separate thread to ask some questions on getting started that I can't find a definite answer for in other threads (or they are buried too deep and I missed them!)

My car is still stalling. I up my timing in the idle cells to 12 degrees. It still stumbles but it recovers faster. There is something about giving gas then clutching that causes the motor to go rich and stumble resulting in the idle dip to 500 rpm. I suspect the fuel cutoff is delayed so that the injectors may still be giving a little fuel in this situation even though the throttle is zero and throttle plate is closed. If we can figure this out, then the stumble can be fixed.

 

Not much help, but Ive always had the same issues on my 05 MR. And tried all that has been suggested in this thread and the other you posted in. Stock 9694 rom was 100%. Never could get idle to not drop with 9653 or 9417 v7 roms when gas, then clutch-in. Made the switch to SD, picked up some hp and have been stall-free ever since with both roms. Never going back...haha.

BTW...I had the ETS maf pipe as well...and fuel trims were +/-2% all the time with working LTFTs.

That being said, you can make it not stall on a MAF car.

 

I'm on that thread also. We need a solution for those of us who don't want to switch to SD.

 

I've increased my idle and below idle timing to 13 degrees and the stalling is worse. The stalling is intolerable now. I'm contemplating taking Tephra mod off my ECU.
