Timing Trim Per Gear
ah I hate that ROM. lol. I use 9417 for EVO 8s.

Only issue I see is if I was in 5th at 15* of timing and 32psi of boost with an EGT of 1200*F (nominal now) and with the timing trim per gear pulled .5* per gear that would drop it 12* or so. What happens to my EGTs in a sustained pull in 5th at 150mph+?
I would much rather fuel trim per gear. I dont mind being an 11.0 in 5th vs the 12.2 it is now.

Ideally, as I originally stated, I prefer to see a timing and fuel trim per gear since both are beneficial. Forgive me if I am wrong but the way you made your statement Aaron, it sounds like you think this is an individual setting that is added per gear. It is an individual adjustable trim per gear, referenced from the high oct map values. Basically, identical to the AEM EMS settings, ideally.

No its actually an individual adder/subtractor per gear.
In the example above, say the peak timing was 15* in the high octane timing map, 4th gear would run EXACTLY what was in the map. 5th gear would subtract 3* globally from the values in the map so it would hit a peak value of 12*, while 1st gear would be adding 5* so it would hit a peak of 20*. Those values were strictly examples btw. A Fuel trim setting per gear would be setup as a multiplier though, not an adder/subtractor like the ignition timing would be.
We would need this feature to work just like the open loop parameters do, so you must exceed a certain engine load before the trims take effect. That way we aren't adding/subtracting any timing while cruising.
