That way, readers can get a sense of what actual timing is being used, and an idea of boost seen through the map.

i'm no expert but it seems like you should be able to run 4 to 5 degrees more timing pretty much the whole way.

If I go much higher I start getting some knock I could try adding more fuel but typically I was getting better power up top with leaner fuel then more timing but hey I'll try it out this weekend

Depending on the quality of the fuel, he could run 2-3 more degrees safely

Wow. Thats some of the lowest ignition timing I've seen for 93.

There are multiple factors that will determine what is safe timing for your car from spool to r/l. What I've seen is 15-20* around top of band depending on mod's and psi on 93. Weather is also a factor.

Anything over 17* at 7k is too high for 93 on the stock turbo IMO

You can't drop a blanket statement in there without qualifying it, lol. At what boost... And mixture? 15 psi & 11.0:1? 17* would be far too conservative a finger-in-the-wind target to have in that specific situation...

What boost/load level do you have in mind for that 17* ?

Rich
