timing belt. or tune issue
After a timing belt install... my evo turned over. And idled fine at cold idle... after about 10 minutes I shut it off... now it will only start after I apply some throttle... I'm receiving some heavy compressor surge from the turbo as it is idling at nearly positive boost pressure.... I'm lost and don't know where to begin.
Both cams are at TDC after two full rotations of the crank... crank is also at Tec at that time.. I'm pretty sure the car would not have started the first time if the timing was off

Step 15 gives a good view of the cam gears when they are correctly timed.

to add insult to injury i pulled a code while it was idling.. hooked up my laptop to evoscan and when i click the icon to review Diagnostic codes it tells me there is "no response from the ECU"

Issue is resolved... it wasn't timing.. the crank sensor blade was backwards... we flipped it around.. car fired right up and held solid idle with normal vaccum.
