Who has Increased knock multiplier

How many ppl in here have increased there knock multiplier and what did you end up settling on?

Reason for asking is I have been battling knock for +12 months and I finally bit the bullet and bumped up the multipliers and I am just curious how common it is amongst the community, especially now most of the evo 8-9 are getting fairly old and probably a bit noisier.

We all know it is a last resort but I have a feeling there may be a few of us.

mine are bumped up a bit, the guy that does my tuning (Rick at RRE) says he generally doesn't have the same values in every car, it depends on what he sees for knock voltage, and some other things. There's no set number.

mine is bumped too but only in the low/mid range. i think my tight clearance and oil pump relief valve is chattering and causing knock events. as my oil ages my knock goes normal. just a theory but the resultant is predictable.

Stock bottom end here with BC 272 cams. Bumped my low multiplier from 13 to 14 to try to cure some part throttle knock I was getting around 3k. Listened with det cans and never heard anything.

I also had the theory that if every car has its characteristics and the tune will generally reflect that in the maps it wouldn't be completely unreasonable that the knock sensor tables might require a bit of tuning also.

I should also mention I am no expert on this issue and I could be completely wrong and causing damage to my car by doing so.

i been battling with knock over 2 years. tried everything.

after my crancshaft bearing failed, i have rebuilt my engine. and guy who assembled my engine said, that 5 lifter is dead, thats a reason of loud cabin noise, rnd knock etc

i change all 16 to new and problem gone.

I have never really considered a lifter might be the source of the issue. I am planning on doing cams sometime. Will definitely be doing lifters at the same time.
