evoscan, can't open logs w/excel
I can log my pulls fine but then when i go to open it with excel it says error and won't open.
Does anybody else view their logs with excel? I have heard of other evo owners doing it this way however I can't find the files on my computer after I logged my pull. Using evoscan the logs can be opened but will not open with excel because they only seem to save in shortcut form. help needed:confused: |
Are you going to My Computer -> Hard drive -> Program Files -> EvoScan -> Saved Data Logs
If you are, your log files should show the Excel Icon, if not, Right Click on the File and go to "Open With" and select Excel. Report back -E |
If you open EvoScan and click on the "Logging" drop down menu, you should see an option labeled "Explorer - Open csv Log File Folder". This will open the folder where your logs are saved, it is usually something similar to "C:\Program Files\EvoScan\EvoScan v2.5\SavedDataLogs"

Here is a picture when I try to OPEN WITH EXCEL. I get this error message. http://i287.photobucket.com/albums/l...e/ricerice.jpg |
The same thing happens to me. Usually if I go to the folder thru explorer the logs wont show at all but when I run Evoscan they do. I have no idea why this happens. What worked for me was deleting the file and restoring it again and that seems to solve the problem.

That was happening to me on my new laptop, with windows Vista. When you click the open csv files, and that box opens. There should be a selection for compatability files. That should be where your logs are saving. That's where mine now go for some reason.

Thanks; I'll give that a try and see if it works for me also. Vista seams to have a lot of little quirks to it.

-E To the OP: Load Calc is inaccurate anyway, should see if you make the 2 byte mod for your rom. |

-E i will post the calc when i get home. as far as the 2 byte load, The previous tuner i had set up my evoscan with 2byte load however i have since rebooted my whole comp and had to reload all of my software therefore loosing my 2byte load setting. A link to how to install 2byte would be apreciated. thanks for all the help so far. hopefully i will be able to do all this on my own soon |
Read this thread for setting up 2-byte load. You have an 03 so I figure the rom 0008 will be for you.

Thanks, i will look into that thread in just a minute. To answer the previous post...
the LoadCalc forumula its curently using is 5*513*((0.256*x)-(-0.1026*[Battery]+1.8741))/[AFRMAP] There is a Box i can select on evoScan that says LOAD MUT 2byte Mod. Should i select that instead of the LoadCalc selection or do i still need to follow the post above this one and set up the 2-byte load?? |
