v7 for 94170008 doesn't work

I copied and pasted the entire xml file for 96530706 into my rommetadata folder. I opened a previous tune and I'm not seeing all these extra mods. I then tried the 94170715 v7 rom and same thing. What am I missing here? I even went through the trouble of moving my original metadata folder on my jump drive then reinstalling a fresh copy of ecuflash. I swear I have more trouble with ecuflash than anyone else. Here's everything that's showing currently:

MAke sure that you are in the correct directory.

Yea I copied and pasted in C:\Program Files\OpenECU\EcuFlash\rommetadata\mitsubishi\evo

My metadata directory under options in ecu flash is C:/Program Files/OpenECU/EcuFlash

If I wasn't in the correct directory, the tune wouldn't even open. Do I even need the original 94170008 meta file or should I delete it? Also do I need to rename the v7 xml file to something other than "TephraMOD-94170715-v7.xml"?

Copying the xml definitions for 96530006 into the 94170008 xml file doesn't work.

The ROMs are different and that's why they have different ID numbers. The tables and code are not the same between all the different ROMs so yo can't use table definitions for one ROM in another ROM.

Either use the 94170715 V7 rom and xml file or the 96530706 xml ROM and xml file.

If you copied in the xml files into the correct ECUFlash folder, you should be able to open a 9653706 ROM and see the tables in that rom.

It will not change what you see on 94170008 ROMs though.

So basically I have to wait for a version of v7 that works with my 94170008 rom?

Yea and I have it in my rommetadata folder and it's still not showing on ecu flash. I ran a search for all other 94170008 roms on my entire computer to make sure there's not another directory on my computer that the tune could be referencing from and that's the only one.

the 9417* series of roms are all compatible. Just use the V7 version made for the 941700715.

So what's missing. I directly copied and pasted the v7 xml file and the .bin which I don't even know if it's needed. I made sure ecu flash was closed, rebooted the program, and still don't have all the features.

You have to use the 94170715.bin file.

94170015 is the newest version of 94170008. Use the newest version (94170015) or use 96530006.

You have to use the same .xml file as the .bin.

Copy and paste the 94170715.xml file set into the evoscan folder
Open the 94170715.bin ROM using ECUflash
Tune the 94170715 ROM and flash it into the car, replacing the 94170008 ROM.

Be sure to change the immobilizer code.

Thanks that clears things up! {thumbup}

Is there a way to delete the immobilizer? I'm still using the original 3g key. I used the perephery tables in my old rom before...
