How to Find out an ECU's ROM ID

Hey guys. I tried to connect my tactrix cable to a friend of mines JDM EV08 MR to help him with some tuning but after going through the steps it gave a message of unreccognised ROM ID. I probably dont have the XML file for the ROM so I wanna know what steps to take to find the ROM ID so I can get the correct XML file for this ID. I am a newbie so bare with me :(. I think I came up on a 89970010. Does this look familiar?

first you have to read the rom from the ecu, then save it, open it, click rom info then internal rom ID
