V7 maps and Windows 7. any issues?
i'm thinking about buying a new laptop. has anyone had any issues with EcuFlash working with Windows7?
i'm also worried about compatibility with EvoScan as well. |
For me latest versions of Ecuflash and Evoscan both work perfectly with Windows7. {thumbup}
PS Just make sure you edit .xml files for Ecuflash outside of the Program Files folder. ;) |
Works beautifully :thumbup:

On some installs, evoscan is retarded and hides the logs under a "show compatibility files" section. So technically it won't let you open the logs in another program, like excel. You have to move them first...

not exactly sure what you mean, but i think i can figure it out. LOL. do you mean to move the xml file to another part of the comp and open/edit/save from there? then move it back?
as for log files and Evoscan - best way is to select folders for all the Evoscan stuff (saved logs, xml, etc.) somewhere in My Documents so that the folder is not affected by those stupid permissions :) |
I'm having the same issue with any ecuflash above 1.43. It will let me open a V7 bin file, but as soon as I scroll down, it will stop working. Works fine with acd bin files and normal bin files.

EvoScan with v2.8.0005 is best with Windows7.
EvoScan v2.6 was forced into compatibility mode by Windows7 and stored the logs in the virtualstore folder. EvoScan v2.7.0090 and v2.8.0005 now store the EvoScan logs and settings in the My Documents folder now. which is where Microsoft wants everybody to store their files. Just remember if you log in as someone else on the laptop you won't have the same My Documents folder. |

that's weird, but i am worried about that. i don't want to get a nice, shiny laptop and not be able to use my old programs.
