Ecu Flash Does read 2009-2010 Evo's?
 
I have two friends, I have a EcuFlash that is about 8 months old. It reads my friends 2008 X , but it doesnt read the 2010 X?

Do i have to update my ECU Flash or am i missing somthing

install the latest version of ecuflash, and make sure your cable supports the 2010 etc.. if it supports 2008 X im sure it supports 2010 though.

Even with the newest ECUFlash likely won't come with the right definitions; especially if your buddy's car is an SST. Go to Golden's xml definition web page to get the definition you need for your friend's car.

ahh cool stuff, so how do i know what ROM he is. it looks like there are two 5-speed ROM's in 2010

ECUflash will still tell you what the ROMID is even though it can't parse it. All the stuff that scrolls past on the right side ... somehwere in there, towards the end, it will say that it has failed to open something or unable to read etc etc. That said, I'm pretty sure a 2010 X GSR is [insert "search is your friend admonition"] is going to be either 55570006 or 55570005 Heck I think 06 inherits 05 so you might end up needing both.

when your on that website, what you do click on the xml then what? :confused:
