Can't start the engine with 96530006 replacement for 99270000
Hello, I flashed the 96530006 rom into a 99270000 ecu with success but the engine doesn't start;
I removed the immobilizer, and from the bits table also set it to 0, plus the FFFF in the immobilizer window... Why the engine doesn't start despite that the flash was successfull ? Any way to correct this? Can somebody tell me what the address of the Decel Fuel Cut Delay is on the 99270000 rom? Thanks for your help:) |

Did you change the immobilizer hex key?
I think stock its set to 0x40 and EDM is supposedly 0x4d Both addresses were 004D, after i added the immobilizer hex... Could it be that i need to add the immobilizer hex definition in order for the engine to start? Despite that the addresses showed to be the same?{pcfreak} Before that, i disabled the immobilizer function in the ecu periphery bits (set it to 0) but the engine didn't start... Could it be another things? |
are you using a standard rom or tephra?

99270000 is a Ralliart rom and would have had no immobiliser, change the periphery at FCA to 0x56D2.
|
Problem solved! Very big thanks guys:)
It was from the immobilizer hex |

The engine started,but now the idle is low about 500rpm and boost is limited to only 0.6 bar I'm running a grimmspeed 3port bcs was running great in the previous rom, I disconnect the battery for 15min but nothing changed... Also if I reflash the original rom the boost stays at .6bar Please help |

Check your solenoid for function both in rom by logging wastegate duty % and check the physical device. Simply put a couple fingers on it and with the other hand blip the throttle of the car if the device doesn't click but the WDC% shows up on your evoscan log you have something up with your solenoid like bad wiring, borked soelnoid, etc.
It's a brand new solenoid, installed it a couple weeks ago Could it be something with the ecu? I mean it's going to limp mode or something? |

Strange,why would it do that?

The service engine soon stays on, I tried desperetely to turn it off without success,turned all the periphery bits to 0 but. The check engine stays on... |

Does this mean that the ecu is going wtf? Is it an error causing that? Because even with the old rom, wgdc is 0 |
Thats fairly strange so even with a CEL it should do something AFAIK. Perhaps you haven't adjusted the right tables for wastegate duty so they are in fact zero.
BTW what CEL's are you getting? Also your mention of the periphery bits to all 0's this may do something unexpected like shut off the wategate solenoid. I would suggest putting those back to stock values. If you visit my thread about shutting off circuit tests for the ROM you may want to look into that. |
You are trying to use a rom ID normally used on a 4 plug ECU, there will be some issues. Try using 96260009 it's the JDM rom for use with the MR and dual solenoid setup.
