How connect 3-port with Tial EWG using both ports?
Hello. I have my Grimmspeed 3-port now connected like this:
http://img718.imageshack.us/img718/4...mmspeedewg.jpg http://img857.imageshack.us/img857/3539/dsc06935.jpg I was thinking what could change if I use both ports of wastegate and how should I connect my vacuu lines ? |
this is ho i have my aem/mac solenoid http://forum.aempower.com/forum/inde...html#msg134815
|
Thank You. Is there any advantage with using this lines setup? Should I change some numbers in my wgdc tables with this?

If you still have the Grimmspeed instructions they have a diagram for hooking up to an external wastegate (same as 2nd post). That's how I have mine setup
|
Grimmspeed instruction says to leave top port vented.
|
They must have changed their instructions, I just looked on their site and it says to run it how you have it. I must have older instructions that shows to run it w/ both ports to the 3-port. If you're able to control boost without issues I would say leave it how you have it, otherwise try the other configuration.

The advantage is it can create a balance between the top and bottom of the diaphram as needed to controll boost. Start off with about 30 wdgc. 43 wgdc for me will hold 25 psi till 8k rpm.
|
I have now with Grimmspeed instruction (only bottom port) 1.6 bar (~23 psi) at 60% wgdc. When I'll go to both ports connection, my wgdc settings should change or not?
Do You think that I will have the same boost at lower wgdc % ? |
so i have my tial 38mm side port ran to the grimmspeed port 3---port 1 ran to the turbo--port 2 (the one facing the front of that car) vented and the top of the wastegate is vented. Do i need to hook it up like in post #2. with the way its hooked up now the gate will not open no matter what the boost pressure is
