Can't get wideband to log
Yesterday I spent the entire day trying to get my wideband to log again. For a whole year I had no problem logging and tuning my car until last week when I wanted to log my car I had this problem. What has been happening is when I log my car on the first try it would work fine but on the second log then on all I get is a 0 as my afr and in the lower corner it says aem error: port close. I try a new ground, rebuilding my female serial port, new cable, hyper terminal and had no luck at all. I have the gigawire from radioshack and am running windows 7 home premium edition. It has been working fine for a year so I don't understand y it won't work anymore. Can someone help me or the people who has fixed this problem tell me what u did so I can try it out and see if I can make it log again.

do you have access to another computer and/or cable to see if you can isolate the problem to one or the other?
|
Have you tried uninstalling Evoscan completely and reinstalling the program?
|
Have you looked to see if the com port setting for the wideband has changed itself at all?

I know before i had to go back to 2.5 to make it work. Its really inconsistent at times... some will work and some wont.

Well it might just be your gigaware cable... maybe uninstall the driver and try it again. Also getting another cable and see if it works, but that means you would have to spend some money when that might not be the problem.

It was a nightmare getting my AEM wideband to work with evoscan. Long story short I am using Evoscan v0.99 lol

Also try different COM ports and make sure they are selected in evoscan. |
