switching to another definition?

My rom id is 88840017 and recently when i used map tracer, it would give me a weird error sayin my xml was bad. i tried doing everything i could and it still wouldnt work. Deleted the xml and tried opening the file and as usual it comes up as unidentified.. i messed around and used an invalid one and it shows me only the rom info. Now i cant return it back to the 88840017 id... lol

I deleted all the definitions from the evo folder just to see and it still opens with the wrong xml that i related it with.

i should stop messing around with this thing ...

help!

If you delete the xml then ecuflash/evoscan won't know how to understand the rom. That's expected. You could reinstall ecuflash or evoscan to get the standard xml files, or you could download new ones. You could download them from http://code.google.com/p/ecurom/sour...tsubishi%2Fevo

You need 88840017.xml and evo9base_20081101.xml if you're going to get them from that site.

thats not the problem.

I opened the map after deleting the definition and then selected a random definition to open that file. Now the map opens using that random definition and its all messed up. How can i open my map using my original definition again?

EcuFlash will create a file in the root of your rommetadata directory when you use its wizard to generate a new empty rom definition. Delete that file (the filename will be 88840017.xml) and copy in the new ones (from the site I posted above).
